Granny squares e Tutorial

Ciao,
Oggi voglio rendervi partecipi del mio primo lavoro all'uncinetto!
***
Hi,
Today I'd like to show you my very first crochet project!

Ecco i link:

Quinto video

I joined some friends in a charity project, each of us had to crochet ten or more granny squares to create as many blankets as we can.
Granny square is one of the simplest but I'm not able to read a crochet pattern, my mind is not yet made up for it.
So for people like me who have difficulty but want, always want, very strongly want to learn, here are the tutorials I've found on web.
The first one is in Italian with pictures and you can find it here "Nella valigia della Buru"
The second one consists of five videos in English. The movements are slow, often repeated and so easy to follow. Here the links:

Third video
Fourth video
Fifth video
As always I hope this information will be helpful!
Now I'm going to prepare an envelope and tomorrow I'll send my Granny squares to Marilù that's waiting!!!

Kisses and see you soon,

Un bacio e a presto,

Tutorial: come allungare pantaloni sportivi- Tutorial: How to lengthen sport pants

Ciao,
 ***
Hi,
I thought of this as a tutorial for mums but I realized that it can be useful in many occasions!
The idea, as always, comes from the need in this case to recover a suit of my baby still in perfect condition but suddenly become too short. In my case I also decided to change the elastic band at the waist that seemed too tight and put two patches on  knees.

***
For this project you will need:

seam-ripper, elastic two cm high and long as the waist of the child minus two cm, patches for knee (you can do it yourself with the this tutorial), sewing machine, scissors, pins, and finally the object that will allow you to to reach your goal: knit cuffs! You can choose them the same color as the suit or contrasting color.

 ***
First unstitch the hem of the pants. In my case the elastic waist was stopped by three seams and to be able to extract it I had to rip all the seams on the waist.
I discovered on Pinterest this video that explains seven ways to sew a rubber band:  I used the second method for this project.
Of course if you do not need to change the elastic band you can skip this part.
Apply the patch if necessary, ironing first into position and then finishing with a straight stitch or better yet an overlock stitch by hand or sewing machine.

Ora vediamo come allungare i pantaloni utilizzando i polsini.
***
Now let's see how to lengthen pants using cuffs.
Knit cuffs are tubular mesh and they're about ten cm long. You can use them to finish wrists or to finish the edges of suits and slacks.
Fold the knit cuffs in half lengthwise taking care to keep the wrong side of the tubular mesh with the seam inside.

***
Turn over the pants so you can see the inside.
Enter the tubular mesh inside of the trouser legs so that the edges coincide with the edge of the trouser leg and taking care to match the seams of the tubolar mesh with the inner seam of the trousers.
Pin the fabrics first along the inner side seam, then on the opposite side.

Selezionate lunghezza punto  1   e larghezza punto 1.5.

***
Expose the free arm of the sewing machine. The circumference of the tubular mesh is shorter than that of the trousers' legs but the fabric is very extensible: sew and pull the tubular mesh in order to have two equal lengths.

Select an elastic zigzag stitch:

select stitch length 1 and stitch width 1.5.

Begin sewing at 0.75 cm from the edge: I start at the inside seam of the leg and proceed along the entire circumference taking care to gradually pull the knit tubolar so as to bring it to equal with the length of the leg circumference.

Proceed in the same way for the other leg.

***
Now select an overlock stitch like this for finishing, first on one leg and then on the other.

***
Turn over the pants and the job is done!

***
With the same tubular mesh I've lengthened the sleeves of a jacket belonging to my husband.

That's all for today, I hope I was clear and most of all useful but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me!

Kisses,

Swap Ricicloso

Ciao,

Io scappo a organizzarmi!

Un bacio,

Chiacchierino ad ago: la mia prima creazione! - Needle Tatting: my first project!

Ciao,
***
Hi,
I'm so excited, even with my laptop that goes so slowly, and despite not having the right tools - I bought a kit of needles "long enough" in a Din Hao shop - I must show you my very first creation with Tatting Needle tecnique:

***
This clover was made thanks to Mary: she has a YouTube channel on which she shares eleven videos about this tecnique!

So if you want to learn how to make this clover and others beautiful things this is the link of the first video of presentation and here is the link specifically to learn how to make the clover.

This is the sixth video, I still have to watch five, who knows what beautiful surprises I’ll find!

Kisses and see you soon,

Un bacio e a presto,
