"The cat came back" ovvero come nasce un'idea!

Ciao,
***

Hi,
Do you remember the Swap about recycling? Well, today I'll tell you how and an idea was born!
This is a folder for documents:

The cat came back the very next day"...
***
My colleague every day gives us those two pieces of plastic that you can see next to the folder. They regularly end up in the trash: what can they be used for?

I was undecided whether or not to join the swap, I wanted to do something different and completely change the intended use of one thing. I had the idea while I was helping my colleague preparing a couple of folders: I was humming a song by Fred Penner "The cat came back the very next day" ...
And the two pieces of plastic that usually end up in the trash became something like this:

I had found my idea!
A couple of days later I received an email from the newsletter of Marie Claire Idées, with the link to a website where you can download and print a kokeshi to use on cardboard to create a doll with decoupage tecnique...
And the two pieces of plastic became something like this:

***

I used the pieces as a template to draw the silhouette of a cat and a kokeshi, I colored with crayons, scanned, printed and cut out.
I have given a lot of hands of white acrylic to plastic pieces to prepare them, I used the printed images to make a decoupage on the two plastic pieces and protected them with three hands of polish. Some component of jewelery and this is the result:
